Folk Costumes

Comenius Folk Costumes

Traditional Polish folk costumes vary by region but are typically brightly colored and decorated with embroidery. Poland's folk costumes are sometimes still worn for special occasions, like weddings, or in the most rural parts of Poland by members of the older generations. Traditional dress in Poland varies by region. Headdresses range from hats to wreathes of flowers, fabric colors vary greatly, and aprons, vests, and ribbons are used depending upon the origin of the costume. (source)

Traditional Hungarian folk costumes are not as common as they once were, but they are still sometimes worn for weddings and festivals. Hungarian folk dress is colorful and richly embroidered. It may feature lace, sashes, boots, or embroidered shoes. Puffed sleeves characterize a woman's garment, while and a vest and long sleeves is worn as a part of male attire. (source)

The presentation and all its drawings were created by a talented 10-year-old Polish pupil, Kamil Pasztaleniec. Well done. :)
